Chiang Mai

Hi All,

Just wondering who's going to the meeting? We'll be in Laos at the time and just want to know if it's worth the extra visa fees.

Was there last year and had a good time.

Sorry, we never know for sure who is going to be there- travellers are notoriously unreliable! If you had a good time last year, I don't see why you wouldn't this year!

Wish I could be there myself

Recently published details are:

Attendees can also expect the unveiling of some of the “secrets” behind the first solo global circumnavigation by motorcycle (1912-1913) done by Carl Stearns Clancy. www.motorcycleadventurer.com
Horizons Unlimited stickers will be available for purchase at the bargain price of 30 THB each! Sticker your motorcycle, or tag a point on your journey with a sticker and send a photo to Grant and Susan at Horizons Unlimited Central.

Looking forward to it....

We hope to be there. We're leaving Vientiane tomorrow and heading up ChiangMai way. We'll probably be there a day or so early and would love to meet up with anyone who's around. See you in the new bike traveller's bar, Rider's Corner - by the north east corner of the canal - for a and a chat?

sorry for the delay replying, sick in bed AND moving house simultaneously!

Yes it's the 8th for sure.

ok to just turn up - yes, but if at all possible please register so we can plan accordingly. If one or two just show up noo problem, but if 50 do...

have fun! and good luck with the Ohlins £$%^

Chiang Mai meet

Big thanks go out to Greg and Tom for their hard work in setting up the meeting. It's great how so many travellers managed to make it, and everyone seemed to enjoy it and go away happy (or merry).

It'd be good to see a photo or two of the line-up.

Thanks again - we'll buy you a Chang when we see you.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
