Front Rim Width
Hi - I recently bought a brand new DID front rim for my bike.
Unfortunately I bought a 1.6" instead of the 1.8" gold one fitted as stock to the NX650. What will be the effect if I use the narrower rim? Is it weaker? These wheels will have knobblies only, and will be used for travel and dirt riding (so precise tread profile not as important)... Thanks! |

Hi I think that a thiner rim is stronger, the reason for this is I met a guy on a 950 who's front rim had so many cracks on it he had to get a new one, he went for a thiner one. it should also track better in theroy. Hopefuly someone will either confirm this or correct me.
