Just taken the dog for a walk to the pub for a pi.. I mean to speak to Abi about bookings.

I have managed to get 14 seats for dinner on Saturday, providing you are down there at 6:30. I currently have 13 names on the list.

I have not booked for Friday but there are tables available. Best thing might be to phone Abi direct to book for Friday so you can organise around your arrival time. Leave a message if there is no answer and she will get back to you. 01579 345930

Main meals start from homemade pie of the day at £10 up to beef wellington at £19. Tim's special Fillet au Poivre gets my recommendation.

You're already on the list for the pub which is fortunate as there is currently only 1 seat available.

There are plenty of green lanes in the area and I am happy to lead a trail ride. We have a cracking village pub within walking (staggering) distance. I am also pretty confident I can convince the Village Hall Committee to provide sleeping space (for a small contribution) so no need to worry about tents etc (if you insist, the village green come school field is very flat).

If somebody was able to lay on a presentation that might interest the locals it would be even better as the Hall Committee are trying to find ways of encouraging people to use the Hall.

Any interest?

I have one here, and a soldering iron which you are welcome to use. You might need to bring a roll of insulating tape though.

:DThumbs up this morning from the physio about riding up, I reckon she thought she'd better say something nice after nearly twisting my foot off. So I'll be strapping my crutches onto the bike and I'll be there.
see you tomorrow night.

Weather forecast is cloudy and mainly dry but very windy. It has to be really bad before they shut the A38 Tamar Bridge to bikes but it might be worth checking traffic reports at some point. There is a VMS sign just before the M5 splits into the A30 and A38 at Exeter. I'll see if I can get a message displayed there if the bridge is out to bikes. Contacts you see...

Alternative routes are, from M5 Exeter:
via A30 to Launceston
From Plymouth:
to Torpoint using the ferry then follow the signs for Liskeard
or
take the A386 to Tavistock, turn left at Tavistock and go through Gunnislake to Callington. Head round the outside of Callington towards Liskeard but turn off at St Ive and go through Pensilva.

See you later.
