Hi Rossi, I’ll come down on Friday and also stay Saturday,
I’m happy to camp, means I can be untidy.
5 pints a night should help me sleep but still get up in the morning for the ride out.
Knobbly tyres on my x-challenge so lots of mud for me.
As for food, I’d partake and contribute to a BBQ if there’s one going, or a takeaway is fine.
Look forward to meeting you all.

Apologies... I seem to have misunderstood the pub meal thing... Looks like the plan is for it to be for the Saturday night only...

I'll speak to the pub when they reopen on Tuesday. I am hoping I can persuade them to do a special early sitting for us on Saturday as we will have talks on in the hall afterwards. It might mean us phoning an order down to them at lunchtime but hopefully shouldn't be a problem. I'll ask about Friday night but it really depends what time folk are arriving. I'll be staying up in the village, welcoming and directing traffic though.

You the man!!!!!

Still no idea what we (me and Diehard) are doing on Saturday night re meal. A lot depends upon the state of my arse after riding down there and possibly a road ride out on Saturday daytime.

If there is a road ride out roughly what time will it be, sort of stupid o'clock in the early hours or a reasonable time after smoked kippers and scrambled eggs on the trangia?

Haven't got anyone to lead a road ride but am happy to give a few pointers to some nice roads and a suitable lunch stop. Leave when you want and do some exploring.

Hi Rossi hope its not to late to come down, will camp on friday and saturday don't have the right tyres so will do a road ride if there is one.

Thanks

rossi 25 Jan 2011 21:12

Geoffmovingart - No problem with that.

25 confirmations so far, 40 people have posted on thread at some point.
115 pints of beer booked but 180 ordered.

I'm sure we will have a good weekend, so long as it doesn't snow.

I have negotiated with the school for use of their car park and camping on the field so we are all above board. They suggested a donation could be made to the school council. I am happy with that, hopefully you all agree.

I have spoken to Abi at the pub.

Weekends are obviously busy so tables will need to be booked. In order to get back up here in time for presentations we will need to pre-order meals for Saturday. I will go for meals being on the table by 7pm and get menus up here so we can get an order to them by the time we leave for ride outs.

I can book a table / tables for Friday but would need to know times and numbers. There will be less pressure on time on Friday but it might be nice for everybody to get together, which would probably be easier up here. Remember that beer is £1 a pint here too, unheard of since my student days. There may yet be enough volunteers that we also have presentations on Friday night as well. One of these may be Colebatch as he is hoping to come but may not be able to stay all weekend - one to catch if you can.

Thanks Rossi,

I would like to thank you for all your effort.

Currently My MT350 is in Bits but I really want it back together for this weekend.

If it isn't I'll have to weigh up green laning against comfort on the trip down and chose between my Triumph Tiger and XR250.

I would like to eat in the pub on Saturday Night.

I'm probably not the best person to lead a road ride, i'm happy to meet up with fellow road warriors on Friday/Sat and with Rossi's guidance and everyones input see what plan we can come up with.

If you do the ride down on the XR250 I can trailer you back to Bristol on the Sunday evening as will be going up that way to collect a few bits.

I'm keen to learn about the Cornish Green Lanes but grew up fairly local to the venue, So happy to lead a road group on Sunday if theres enough interest?? a few miles, pasty and ice cream stop and then a pootle back towards Plymouth way??

Be good to gauge interest though as I will invariably spend some of the Sat evening swapping from michelin deserts to something a little less focused for the road work.

If you are interested let me know what time you would need to be leaving Cornwall to help me plan something

Cant make it guys. Apologies but I will be stuck in Holland on the weekend

Whoops!!

On crutches:oops2: but still coming up for this one. Hopefully the physio will give me the all-clear to ride up on Friday night, though I doubt if I will be up to green laning after all.
Perhaps something a bit more sedate.
Hopefully I will be off my crutches by then, but I have now perfected the art of dismantling my crutches and putting them in my back pack to ride to and from work (not much choice as I don't own a car). So look out for that as the comedy scene.

see you all Friday night.:mchappy:
