Alas the XR250 is a no go the cam and rockers ar knackered!! With help from gabe I'm racing against time to get the MT ready!!

Sorry to hear you can't make it Walter. Hope the reassembly goes smoothly.

Tiffany, what have you been doing? Just as well I ordered in plenty of beer as I doubt you'll want to do the 1/2 mile to the pub which might keep a few more folk up in the village. It looks like we may have someone to lead a road ride now though, if you're up to it.

If anybody is planning to change tyres I have a step stand and some big tyre levers. If you speak nicely to Mark he can go further as he has a larger workshop and a compressor.

For those coming from up country, the A30 is usually a bit quicker than the A38 but the B3254 across from Launceston is quite twisty. If you're arriving after dark and your lights are a bit ropey you might be better on the A38 past Plymouth to Liskeard.

Mark should be home after lunch and will be around to meet and greet once he has put up the signs - look for the arrows.

Be good to gauge interest though as I will invariably spend some of the Sat evening swapping from michelin deserts to something a little less focused for the road work.

If you are interested let me know what time you would need to be leaving Cornwall to help me plan something

Hi Sticky, Me and diehard will be leaving on Sunday to get back to Wirral. I have the option to stay Sunday night if it is allowed not sure what Diehard has planned but so far the intention is for us both to leave sometime Sunday morning circa 11 ish?

Hope this helps with planning.

An early morning ride out after several pints of Doom Bar? :nono:

We have 180 pints to get through!jeiger :D

Be prepared though, current weather forecast is :rain::(. At least it now says light rain, this morning it was for heavy rain. If it keeps going at this rate and it will be sunny by Friday.

I have never been an early riser!! I hope to be 200 miles up north by 3pm. Posibly camping somewhere (legally) between PL14 and CH46 by 4pm. Dont worry about the pints if it kills me (and I hope it dosent) I will do my best. Bike prepped kit packed raring to go!!!

Rossi thanks for al the effort you have put into this so far. It is really appreciated. You the man.......

I think I missed the name...

Rossi - copied the directions, just wanted to know...
what is the name of the village? Just in case I get a bit sidetracked as I pass Trago:helpsmilie:
also the name of the pub?
It will be dark by the time I arrive (in fact it will be dark by the time I even set offdoh). Never mind, I have the tenacity of something tenacious and will track you all down.

I'm in Darite

From the west
take the A38 from bodmin.
After Trago, take the left turn at the top of the hill as the 2 lane section ends.
Follow the road until you go over a cattle grid then fork right down the hill.
In Darite the road goes sharp right then left. Carry straight on at the right hand bend. There will be signs on the bend.
Up the street on the left. Look for the Welcome sign on the notice board.

Pub is the Crows Nest Inn, in Crows Nest of all places but I will be around in the village to meet and greet.

See you on Friday.

Closest village shop is about a mile away, late night village shop about 1.5 miles, plenty of choice in Liskeard 3.5 miles.

All information like this is already printed, laminated and will be pinned to the noticeboard outside the village hall. Look for the A4 sign that says :welcome:.
