Wow, that's a lot of money.

If I would cross China, it will only be for a few days to cover the distance between central Asia and Pakistan.

Maybe in a few years the China-situation will change... let's hope!

For me China is no longer an option, and duo to the Burma problems, i am now thinking of going to south india and then fly/ship my bike to malaysia and then up to thailand.

That's a lot more cost than i can bear!

Guess I will have to look at the alternatives again.

Hi Everybody,

I have been watching your progress with costings, Just to let you know when I asks our guide about motorbikes she said that it would be 3000 euros per motorbike to add to our trip, I never asked about motorbikes without a car/van/truck.

Here is the new thread I started for anyone thinking about travelling a similar route by bikes.. just so we don't clog up Dave's thread :innocent:
