We are in Monogolia at the moment. Entering China on August 9. But in October we will be in Malaysia. Where are you at present?
|
We are in Indonesia at the moment, going north. Might be able to meet up for a jeigeror two.
Don't think we'll be able to travel with you though, we are on bicycles:mchappy: |
Laos
No worries meeting up for a drink or 2 would be nice.
You are travelling North and we are travelling south towards Indonesia. Having a nice cold fridge on board we make sure the drinks are cold. Stay in Touch We are now on Face book for up to date information, become a friend. robert.vandenhoven@facebook.com |
Have a look at our Laos section for tips and routes, we just come from Laos.
Going to Indonesia? You have a plan how to do that? Was hard for us and our bike, I guess from Malysia it will be very hard to go over with a 4x4, if not impossible. Do NOT ship to Jakarta or Dumai or you will have a very hard time with the customs there... GRTS from Dili, Timor Leste. cheers Sascha |

Where are you now Robert and Clary |
Hi
I just left Ulan Batar yesterday, the bike is crated and in bonded storage for a few weeks before it gets fglown to Thailand I am currently in Shenzen China, be here about a week I guess before heading away I have no transport, I am a tourist :( Where are you guys? Cheers TS |
Clarissa and I are relaxing in Kampong Thom, I guess middleish of Cambodia?
Slowly making our way a little south-east then following the Mekong back up through to Laos. Really can suggest visiting a few temples other than Ankor Wat for a much nicer relaxed experience of Cambodia. The people are absolutely beautiful. Ps. Most dirt roads we have ridden so far have been in good condition considering the rain but turn to hell after a storm! Below's not the best reflection but was one of the few good spots to stop and take a picture. The road to Sambor Prei Kuk |
Hmmm, not sure I would want to ride that road with my heavy bike, I would lose too much energy picking it up all the time
|
We are having some R&R in Sihanoukville (Otress Beach) and heading back to Phnom Penh on the weekend.
Why did't you take the Bike to china? Cheers Robert |

Glad I am on 4 wheels? It looked like The Congo. We are currently in Sihanoukville (Otress Beach) till Saturday/Sunday before heading back to Phnom Penh. What are your next moves Cheers Robert |
G'day Robert,
We are in Kampong Thom at the moment and will be heading to Kratie in a day or so to try and see these Mekong dolphins. We spent way to much time in Malaysia/Thailand doing the beach/island thing so we gave Sihanoukville a miss. How are you finding it? I think Mr. Strom did do China but is just shipping the bike at the moment? For big bikes we are certainly here in the wrong season but some of the attractions can be seen with braving some 5-50km dirt entrance roads. Although there's many awesome adventure riding to be done over hear (much more enjoyable when its drier). |

I am posting today on my blog the whole story and I have written to the tour company advising them they are about to be slammed as they have not responded to my request for a valid reason Cheers from Shenzen, China TravellingStrom(less) |
