Hey there! and how about the splines, do they match?

Vando :innocent:

wolfzero 29 May 2009 13:35

splines match but the offset is not quite enough to clear the engine case its about 10mm different than the oe lever. :(

looks like i'm gonna be busy with the milling machine again :rolleyes2: yet another bespoke piece on the beast, at least the battery box fits and i can start her up again :thumbup1:

I found a picture and part number for the Emgo one I'm using, took a while but found it in the end.
Have a look here Parts Unlimited Offroad 2008

It's part # 1602-0061.
All the other aftermarket ones I've seen online have been a different shape. They seem to curve out from the shift shaft like a banana rather than angled out like my one.

wolfzero 30 May 2009 11:26

thats still a steel one tho i can do a funky one myself in steel i'd like a billet alloy one but i've broken my mill again

Hey there.

GeoffE do you have that shiffter on your bike?

Yobbo:
I've went through that website's checkout system for that part# 1602-0061 and in the checkout it mentions the Yamaha OEM part# as 5UL-18110-00-00.

That part number is the same for the following bikes/years:

WR250F, WR450F and YZ250F 2003-2006.
the part number for the YZ450F is different!!!!!!!!!

I do not dare to garantee that this company's gear shifter pedal is exactly the same shape (angles and countours) because I haven't compared either of them eye-to-eye ....

Hi 'bacardi23',

The answer to your question is "no".

A previous post mentioned the YZ250, and I knew MotoWard offered an Alloy Gear Pedal for that model.

I did not know if it fitted our XTs, and asked about the shape.

Our XTs engine casing is an awkward shape, and I was not sure we would find an Alloy gear pedal with a folding lever. However the TTR600 kickstart model was mentioned - 'bolla', any chance of a photo?

Thanks,
Geoff

Hi,

I found this catalogue which offers an Alloy TT600 '88-on gear pedal. See page 10 and item LVR-YG08F. What do you think?
