I just use the rollers and got some on eBay that work fine. Be sure to lock tight the bolts holding them or they will come loose and fall out... Ask me how I know...:oops2:

I just searched for "Yamaha XT600 roller" on usa eBay and lots of the rollers and chain guides showed up. A complete kit from David Lambeth is here. Bay item number:161492108864. The roller kits are much cheaper if you don't need the swing arm protector.

Is this the one you search? All Balls Lower Chain Roller Black Fits Yamaha XT600 1990 1995 | eBay

Yes, that one and others. You need two of them. I use blue locktite to secure the bolts in the frame. Red locktite is too hard to loosen, have to use heat.

Is there any wear on that upper one? cant see how chain is coming up there? This one wears out Seal, Guard
5X6-22151-10-00 thats on rear arm.

steveloomis 17 Jul 2016 16:09

I think the top roller just helps keep the chain from slapping too much. What seal and guard are you speaking of that are wearing?

Check rear arm 3tb part nr 9.

It is dark now, so I can't get a pic, but I know exactly what you mean and I can show you what I have fitted to my 4pt soon.
I have a chain guide, made for a mx bike fitted. For me, it meant drilling a hole in the bracket that the pointless original white plastic thing bolts to, and finding or making up some longish bolts to hold the new guide on. Looks the part and does the job, if I say so myself.

Its like 10cm up to the roller and how do chain slapping uppwards 10cm? Iam changing the part nr 9 now, its all messed up. Need to remove swingarm, bolt came out first swing:thumbup1:

xtrock 21 Jul 2016 20:15

The lower roller is cheap original, why buy ebay stuff? The original i have on bike has done 40k km and its not all gone, my upper guide has wear but last for along time still. Recomend to remove the bolt holding swingarm every second year for lubrication, if this one get stuck you have a serious problem..And the lubrication with the nipples dont fill into the bolt, it lubricate the bush.
