I agree with this comment, this is why I have chosen "NO".

Which is why I liked the "xx has been thanked xx times" facility which is positive only
(on www motorhomefacts.com)

Well it's pretty clear what most of you think - and it aligns with my thinking too, so it's OFF!

Now when someone asks for it I can say without any doubt that the people who count don't want it! I never thought it was a good idea - you'll notice we've been going a very long time without it :) But if YOU ask for something, we'll always do our best to give it to you.

thanks for all the feedback everyone!

I'm looking at this, it has potential, but there isn't much like it for vBulletin - the motorhomes site is on phpbb and so won't work. If anyone sees it on a vb site let me know.

Anyone any comments on Tim's idea?

yes / no?

I'm more willing to give it a go. Positive is better IMHO.

I think it would make my day if someone actually liked some of the misspeltted rubbish I type. I would however be pretty narked the first time someone informed me that as I've only got so many posts, so many House Points and can barely spell my own name, my opinion is less valued than others. Could be more work for the site moderation guys who'd have to inform the misinformed that the "Get me a beer Noob" thing isn't the HUBB way?

Is there a risk the quieter guys might just click "Like" rather add their own comments and we'd loose something valuable?

I cringe at the thought of the hubb turning into some kind of facebook with a system like that....
