Motorcycle insurance for foreigner in USA/CANADA
 

Hello, I am planning a trip for 3 or 4 month to Canada and USA. Shipping seems no problem, but it seems very difficult to find a company, that can offer a third liability insurance contract for my motorcycle. "Fernet.com" did this in the past, but actually they cannot offer this. Does anyone have a hint?

Insurance for Canada
 

I was intending to ship my Land Cruiser from Liverpool to Halifax next year but the more I looked into it I could not get any sort of insurance in Canada. I even got in touch with a relative in Canada who contacted his insurance company who told him I would have to get a UK company to insure me and of course they will not.
I got in touch with Progressive as the Shipping company goes to Baltimore after Halifax so I would kick off my trip in the US rather than Canada and the lady said my US insurance would give me cover in Canada as well. Went through the quote process and was offered 6 months insurance for $720. I just used a motel in Baltimore for the quote as the documents would be sent via email. It seems to be the only option for non US/Canadian registered vehicles.
