Hey there everyone, names Noah, and im planning a trip leaving in October from LA into mexico through central america then into south america. Im still planning and outfitting my KLR-650 for the trip. Im from miami and have a basic grasp of spanish and the customs and traditions of south america. Im very laid back and down to earth and am in no rush! I plan on doing miles but stopping anywhere fun or cool to hang out and meet people, hike, surf, explore, fish, boat, party, or just have a few cold ones bier It'd be great knowing other people biking through around this time either as a travel buddy or the occasional meet up pal while on the trip. I get along with anybody and everybody and love having a good time. Im arriving Guatemala October and buying a bike (prob a KLR ) and heading to Ushuaia , leaving Guatemala prob mid to end Oct . So keep in touch as to where you are at the time and maybe we can catch up somewhere and have a beer .I started the trip last July in Alaska and only got to Guatemala , broke my leg and had to go back to NZ .

I'll be leaving Montreal on a my mighty KLR on the 17th of october and going all the way to Ushuaia.

It seems there will be a few KLR going south this year.

I'm sure we could all arrange our own little HU meeting somewhere along the way...

Sounds great. Im planning on leaving Florida late September and maybe hang out in LA for a bit before i leave. Ill definitely stay in touch as it would be great to start off with some people.

I'm planning on leaving the UK in October / November for Columbia. I'll be buying a bike there hopefully (probably KLR or similar) - anyone any experience of doing this?

I have been riding in Peru for 20 years, even as recently as last Aug and can give you up-to-date info on roads, places to stay (did 5,000 KM just within Peru June-Aug 2010) and contacts. Glad to help.

If all goes per plan I will also be leaving this fall (Oct/Nov) for.. well, however far south I want to go. Panama for sure, but I would love to do northern S.A. (Peru has been on my mind).

i will be doing this same thing from L.A./ California through Mex Central and south from sometime in October too.

i am also looking for some one to ride with through Mexico cos have heard bad stories from some people about kidnapping etc..

i see you are in Miami. i will be coming through there in the next couple of weeks i am at the Grand Canyon at the mo, heading down the south coast to Florida

Catching the baja 1000 in november then heading south after that. I'm outfitting a dr650 right now for the trip. Did ca.to Alaska and back summer of 2010 on a 1200gs. Ready for the trip down south. May have a friend to go half way, not sure yet. Hope to see some of you on the road.

I'm from Colombia and I'll be riding alone on a R1200 GSA from Houston to Panama starting July 3rd. It would be excellent to find some company! Got only 1 month vacation though.

Sounds like I'll be a little bit behind all of you.
I'm shooting to leave Wisconsin in early November (before the blizzards hopefully!) I'll be heading towards Ushuaia on my old CB.

Would love to run into anyone heading my way. I'll even try to keep up!
