Hi Darius,
Ben made a nice map: http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/hub...t-africa-54913 West African embassies, borders and accomodation. - Google Maps You can also get a Tchad visa in Niamey in 1-2 days an then in N'Djamea the cameroon visa in 1-2 days. Greetings Ferdi |
ferdi,
ok, tchad visa in niger - no worries. but we'd need to cross a part of cameroon in order to reach ndjamena, am I mistaken? cheers darius |
Hi Darius,
no, you don't have to enter Nigeria. You take the paved road in Niger to Diffa, then it is piste/sand via Ngiugmi, Daboua, Liwa, Ngouri, Massakori, then paved to N'Djamena. There are some (about 150 kilometers) sandy sections before and after Nguigmi. After Liwa it is a relatively good piste. Petrol in Diffa and Bol (Nguigmi not sure). Be careful, the way Diffa-Massakori is real Sahara. Greetings Ferdi |
Darius - if you look at our web site you will find all the details about the route we took through Nigeria (as well as the rest of it to CT). No worries in Nigeria at all - great country with amazingly friendly, generous people.
