New Delhi Routes
 

Hi am trying a 'short' 10 day trip as a pre ride for next year, with my gf
we are going to start from New delhi and take a round route for 10 days
back to Delhi any avised places to see.
btw, will be using a local Enfild for this.

Just one or two possible suggestions
 

It depends how much time you want to spend on the road.
You could go south to Agra (Taj Mahal)
Visit the amazing Qutub Minar in the south of Delhi as you leave or return: N28 31.469 E77 11.133

Then, west from Agra to Fatephur Sikri: N27 05.812 E77 39.915

Then, onwards to Jaipur & its sights. After that, Pushkar is interesting though the lake has dried up. You might not want to go as far as Udaipur, Jodphur or Jaisalmer etc. in that time. You could head north to the Rat Temple near Bikaner and then finish the loop to Delhi.

Or for a shorter loop, just take the road north-east from Jaipur back to Delhi which goes past the Amber Fort (N26 59.156 E75 51.040).

As I said I will have 10 days of riding around, but I am not out to win any record for geting through india fast,

I like the idea of Taj Mahal & rat temple & Amber Fort
I would like to visit local culture etc as well,

can I assum the Co-ords (N26 59.156 E75 51.040) are for GPS?
Out of intrest what gps do u use?

Yes. They are GPS coordinates. Try them out by pasting them directly into Google Earth. I use a Garmin 60CSx. It's small enough to move from bike to bike or carry around in a pocket or backpack so I get maximum use out of it. :thumbup1:

was thinking of getting a TomTom (TT) Rider2 only because we use TT Navigater for work so am quite used to TT
did look @ the Garman 60CXs looks quit good ideal for of Rd as well

Just used Google Earth as you suggested intresting, i have used mappoint b4 but neve this program could be quit usefull

I have entered some information from a trip that a buddy and I did a few years ago. I bet you can use the info to help your planning. We had a great time. Watch out for the cagers it is dangerous out there. Ride within your limits and ride defensively.
The mileage was accurate but the riding time was probably a bit slower add 1.5hrs to below times to be safe
