I went to Sturgis in July 2008 and can confirm this. Absolutely dead. I spoke with some locals and they said they make their entire yearly income in two weeks selling $10 Bud Lite and $10 hot dogs. Very expensive and clothing is optional for the ladies (but believe me, you wish it was mandatory for most!) doh

Go. I Have been 5 times. It is what ever you make of it.
I would be going this year. But down with third hip replacement.
