Skillo it would be great to see you at our mini meet so get yourself along if you can. I would suggest you need warm sleeping bags as the pub is high up on the moors and it will be cold at night. Also if you are going to Scotland you will need warm gear anyway as it really does get chilly up there at night. Hope to see you there.
Also Atwoke if you are going do you want to met up and ride down with me on saturday I will be leaving Alnwick about 11am / 12 noon to get set up down there early afternoon and then maybe have a run into Whitby about 2.30pm for fish and chips.

Adventure950,

Sounds like a plan in the making to me! Saturday morning is fine by me.

I suggest I just pop over your way and we meet in Alnwick? More by mail...

Adventure 950, it looks like i'm free that weekend so it looks as if i may have to buy you that pint after all, unless i come up with a decent excuse in the meantime.

Do i need to book for the camping or anything or is it just a case of turn up whenever.

Look forward to seeing you all there.

Count me in.

Any idea of numbers likely to attend?

Atwoke 12 Apr 2006 13:15

Just did a quick count through the thread: I figure 9 definites to most likely and about 5 in the probably to perhabs category. :smartass:

Should be a good weekend! See you there!

I don't think there was anything like an agenda set for the meeting. If you want one, so you can come prepared, I would suggest the following:

Arrive, Refreshment, Pitch tent, Ride out, Refreshment, chat, Food, Talk, Refreshment, Refreshment, slurred discussion, refreshment, Sleep (optional), Coffee, chat, Food, Rideout, Pack tent, leave....

Obviously, the order of the events is almost random and can be modified according to the individuals interests.
Would love to see Grant do a flexible agenda like that!:clown:

Any other suggestions? Anybody?

Not enough refreshement IMHO, and complete b0ll0cks talked, needs adding to slurred discussion.

I'm still working on my new invention, "The self packing tent" especially for the morning after....my plan to make my millions.

Failing that, just buy a cheap tent and abandon it, saves packing.

I think most will be arriving early afternoon on saturday, There is no set plan its just a social get together few drinks food and swop tales and info really. The pub charges £2.50 night per person for the camping in the field to the front of the pub ( no facilities) If everyone can pay there dues to me I will check off everyones details and have arranged to pay the landlord on the evening I will be ther from about 2pm I have the Wigwam type tent so easy to find - If anyone wants breakfast they have to be paid for the night before and get a token just so they know how many are booked and so you turn up and they are not out of pocket if you dont. - If you dont book you do not get a breakfast. Breakfast costs about £5 / 5.50. The pub can also get busy for evening meals so some flexability will be needed to fit us all in. As there is a lot more attending than I initially banked on coming. See you all there Brad.
