Grant:
Tomorrow nite I am doing a lecture of the 2006 HU Creel meeting for the Guadalajara BMW Club. I think that 5 people are at this time booked for the trip, plus the others that will get interested after the lecture.

Also, my friends from Durango are going to go to the meeting they are five and the have 4 more guests that will attend the meeting, they are coming from El Salvador.

Eduardo from Durango made a 2up trip to Patagonia with his wife and will like to do his presentation of the trip at the Creel Meeting, so he wants to know how much time he can use for it and if taking an USB memory with the presentation in Powerpoint will be enough or will he need to carry a computer?

Think this year we will have much more people.

See U

Humberto, good going!

Re Eduardo - yes, that would be excellent - he has 45 minutes MAXIMUM, and a USB memory stick with the presentation in PowerPoint is just fine. Computer definitely not necessary.

Also please send me his full name and the title of his presentation - and whether he wants to do it in Spanish or English - or both!

Did you get the poster translated? If so send it to me and I'll make it available on the meeting page too.

I'd be very pleased to have more Mexicans at the meeting! :D

thanks, Grant

Yes, you can book the hotel - but best you book through me, as I am handling all hotel bookings. Originally to help the non-Spanish speakers, as getting an English speaker at the hotel is a bit tricky, but in order to simplify and keep track of it all, I'm doing it all. So when you register for the meeting with HU, please also reserve your hotel room. All info on the meeting webpage.

What's Eduardo's last name? And his wife's name?

I want to put:

Eduardo and (wife) (lastname), Mexico, "From Durango to Patagonia on a GS"

Will he do the presentation in Spanish or English?

More Room reservations

Grant:
I had a meeting with the guys from Durango and finally they know how much rooms they will need, for them and for the guys coming from El Salvador.

It will be a total of 8 rooms.
Four rooms for solo people
And four rooms four 2 people each.

People from Guadalajara are about to decide how many will go, so shortly I will send the reservations.

Do we send a check? Or how do we deposit?

Humberto

Check or PayPal to the address on the meetings page please! :)

Details in the mail.

Everyone heading for Mexico - Cabins are going fast, so get your reservations in soon! It's well worth being at the new main meeting place, the cabins are a much better deal than last year!

See you there,

Gracias

Humberto,

Gerardo Ibarra.

Just taking a moment to thank Humberto for his exceptional efforts to promote and grow this year's meeting...

Salud!

Gerardo Ibarra.

Gerardo:

Humberto :thumbup1:

Looks like one not to miss

This looks as though it could become a highlight of my AWT Americas section. Not only Copper Canyon but the fiesta in Huachinera as well:biggrin3:

Only trouble is I'm not 100% sure of my times, getting across Canada will take me about 60 days (not going the direct route :cool4: ) So I should arrive in Calgery from Inuvik in late August.

Gotta see my cuz in Strollers M/cycles, Dallas, for a brew, sooo even taking a couple of weeks to learn some Spanish, looks like I can make it:thumbup1:

See yuz in Huachinera or Copper Canyon.

You reading this Del Boy and Honeybadger?

Happy Trails

Presidio to Creel Crossing 10-10, questions for Grant

Looking for like minded couples / folks riding 2-up big dual sports from Presidio to Creel 10-10, and suggested parking in Presidio for truck and trailer. Leaving St. Louis on or about 10-8.

Grant:

After three years trying my work schedule may actually permit attending HU Creel. Are there any 2 person cabins left? As well can you point to any GPS coordinates / highway GPS routes from Presidio to Creel via 16 etc.? My GPSXchange login refuses to work.

Cheers!
Steve
