HU Snowy Mountains Meeting Nov 18-20, 2016

We're very pleased to announce the first Horizons Unlimited Snowy Mountain Travellers Meeting, to be held Nov 18-20, 2016 in Jindabyne!

As you may know, we've been searching for a venue in the southeast to attract adventure travellers and would-be travellers from NSW and VIC (plus the ACT!) We spent a week checking out locations last year, and Jindabyne ticks all the boxes!

http://www.horizonsunlimited.com/eve...dabyne-800.jpg

We've found a great venue at Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre. We're very excited about this location, it offers a range of accommodation options, great facilities and the potential for outdoor bike activities.
Our organising team hails from both sides of the line and even WA! Veteran travellers Brian Rix, Shirley Hardy-Rix, Pamela & Dave Hyde, Bryce Tobias, Tony Pollard, and Ove Gehrmann have stepped up to the challenge, and we're VERY grateful to them all!

Registration is open now with early bird rates until 30 April! :)

Have just requested leave for this. Once it is approved I will register this. No excuse since its virtually in my back yard.

I've registered.

HumphreyBear 1 May 2016 05:55

Booked.

I've registered and am looking forward to attending my first event.

@susan johnson can you confirm that the camping is $74/person/night or should it be for the event? That price is disproportionately more expensive than other events (having looked at a few to compare), and to other camp ground in the area??

Thanks,
Humphrey

Bennett 1 May 2016 08:32

?c?Hi Humphrey in case Susan misses your ?, Camping fee at $74.00 night includes three meals.
Regards Ben.

Hi all,

Just to check if there is anyone going from Adelaide. Would be better to share the s/miles with soul-mate/s or could join on the road somewhere.

Cheers bier

Is there an option for just camping without the meals

Rfothy 21 Jul 2016 13:35

Also very interested in the camping only option as I am actually travelling on the bike in Australia and my daily budget is less than this haha.
Also could do a trade off with a presentation of my trip so far maybe?

Hi All,
Have registered and will be travelling from Sydney on Friday 18th Nov.

See you there!

Can't wait to attend my first HU event! I'll be driving down from the Gold Coast (QLD) and have decided on the camping option! Unfortunately not riding my adventure vehicle...my little Honda motorcycle, as there's no way I'd make it that far just yet! :scooter:

Dirt trip

Hi mate I'm very new in this site, but please let me recommend you the road between Tharwa and Adaminaby. I'll be doing it on Friday.
I'll be heading south from Sydney to Nowra and then taking the Nowra Rd all the way to Braidwood. Form Braidwood to Queanbeyan and then Tharwa and the rest.

Hey mate,
I'm heading down from Sydney but won't be camping. Depending on where you are on Thursday night we could maybe meet up and ride down to the event?
Matt

Well done team.

Special thanks to Jacqui and her Drone...

You're welcome - I'm pleased with how the footage came out and that it was not so difficult to corral a herd of motorcyclists
