Turkey tyres - go nowhere else
Bora is a star, met me at the Ferry from Istanbul so that i wouldn't get lost on route to his shop. He had great selection of tyres and had the Tourance too. After a few cups of tea and a chat the tyres were on and I was on my way.... he made me take his number so that if I get into any trouble in Turkey, I can call him and he will help or be an emergency translator.... what a star. Love giving business to people who deserve it.
He is also helping me get a few bits for the bike sent on to a hotel further on my route.... |

We are in Pakistan right now, and going to Iran soon. After Iran I go to Turkey, and will need some new tires for my bike. Although I drive a dual purpose bike (Moto Guzzi NTX650) I will be doing mostly asphalt/tarmac from Turkey onwards to the Netherlands. So I'm looking for some nice new tires that are good on roads, also in the wet! My tire size are: front 90/90/21 rear 120/80/18 What do you have in stock, can you recommend any tires? Hmm. . Good tyre, but not sure it's got the mileage I need from it. . I want to get across Kazakhstan into Russia to Vladivostock on the set of tyres I fit in Turkey.
I've been running a pair of maxxis supermoto tyres, which are very similar. |

I will need to change tires in Turkey on my way to the East. Having read this thread so far, it still seems to be difficult to get Mitas E-07 in Turkey. They are my first preference in terms of mileage. Another option would be the Heidenau K60 Scout. Also not easily available. Any alternatives?

Izmir is big big city so I think i have seen about 1% doh. It's nice and the sunset over the sea is awesome but a little bit pricy because of the touristic area.
