Im sorry but I cant agree there.. Slime is only good for the treaded area of a tyre and other emergency sealants are an emergency repair only. They not guaranteed or recommended for anything apart from to get you to a garage.

Once you have used slime , you cannot then do a proper more premanant repair because the goo reacts with the inner tyre so if you get a puncture in the side wall, you are FOOKED !!

By all means pack some for emergencys but bungs are far more reliable and safer and the hole can be repaired at a garage afterwards..

Tubeless Tyre Repairs.
 

Try using the Tyre Plugger kits. In Uk they are available online from Busters.

I've had about 3 tubeless punctures on my trip. Each time, I've fixed them in minutes. I use these repairs that look like a long sticky stick ( a bit like a pipe cleaner, sorry don't know the name).

Basically, you bend 'em in half, shove them in the hole using the tool, and pull the tool out quickly (ooh err) and chop off the bit sticking out. The repair will self vulcanise once you start riding. I use my little Motopump compressor too which has been indispensible on this trip.

One repair I did on an Pirelli MT60 lasted all the way from Northern Peru to Costa Rica (via Colombia, Panama etc) before it started leaking again.

might just slow down air loss enough to save your life.

Do not in any shape or form buy Dyna plug kits. There crap (don't actually work on anything more than a pin hole), they over charge you, then send you the wrong parts ordered and tell you they have sent you what you asked for - genrally a rip off - stay away
