May I ask how the Touratech bags are going now after being fitted for awhile?

How dust/water proof are they with and without the raincover?
Do they move on the bike?
How much weight can you carry in the side saddles?

Thank yo in advance for your comments.

I have TT VP45 tank on my R1100GS, that has TT 41 litre tank. Very satisfyed with the bag, works-fits perfect even on that large tank.

About sidebags: i wouldn't put anything massive in there, coz they're just grabed on to the main tankbag base with strong zips. Usually i put some lighter stuff, such as rain clothes etc in there. But the main compartment - put as much mass as you want, no prob, it's supported by solid tank beneth it. Just make sure lot of weight doesn't affect your handling.

Dust proof - yes, quite. Rain proof - haven't tryed yet, i got a cheap rain cover from louis.de . But to decide from the material the tank bag is made it should resist normal rain very well also the sidebags, they have a very rubber-like internal walls.

Cheers, Margus

VP45 on the F650 is still in good conditions after 20000k's and one winter. Rainproof withour the raincover... No, but that is not how it is designed. With the rain cover: no prob.

Side bags: we loaded som heave gear in there (fuelbottlles, camelbag,...) and had no problems. Kept te gravity point lower that way.

Since the VP45 does not exist for the TA. Has somebody tried this out anyway?

Pieter.
