RST pro adventure

had this jacket this year,
in the hot whether it was comfy to wear, well vented, with Velcro and zips holding two large flaps on the front, above the two pockets.
easy to use and set to the amount of air flow you want.
arms un zip off two.
also two zips on the back to let air out :)

as it has got wetter and colder, I found putting the water proof lining in ,easy.
then came the thermo lining, and this is a warm jacket ! :)
iv had two bad down pours of really heavy rain. and no leaks at all !,so far so good ! :)

down side,
shows muck easy, armour is good, but back protector is a little high ,and can push the jacket up at the back, but not really a problem, and could be cut down.

bit heavy, if wet, but generally for £200, a good jacket.
im going to wash mine with neotec ,for corduroy, so should be clean ,and a little better in the water proofing.
pants next ! :) :D

I also have the Sand jacket and pants. Worn daily for around 2.5 years....not yet washed once :cool4:

I'm happy with them.

That said, the waterproof liner isn't always waterproof for me. Could be due to not washing it though......Leaks on upper thighs where water pools, and on arms between elbow and shoulder. Also, the waterproof liner isn't super tough; mine's worn in the ankle area from rubbing on boots.

Have been sunburnt on wrist from opening zips; lube up!

You look like you're ready for an Apollo 17 launch whilst wearing it, but the (perceived) safety of the colour and coolness in the sun outweighs any astronaut misconceptions.

I wear it year round in temps from -5 to 40 +. A good compromise.

I've done about 20000 miles with the jacket.

The waterproof inner gets your wrists wet and you sweat like mad inside it. Some of the stitching on one of the shoulders on the outer jacket came loose fairly early on but is not really a problem.

My main gripe about the jacket is I find it too hot in the summer and too cold in the winter. I bought it specifically for all the vents hoping I would be kept cool but no. I always wear a back protector so this doesn't help. I've got rid of the inner thermal padded part and just use a decent windproof fleece and a lightweight breathable goretex rain jacket as the waterproof layer.

In rain the outer jacket pockets get very wet - don't keep documents/papers, ear plugs etc. in them.

As for washing: I just take the armour out and put the outer jacket in the washing machine at 30 on a synthetic program, it comes out cleaner than when it went in.

Would I buy the jacket again? No. I'll be looking for something else this summer.
