pannier corner bumpers

Greeting's fellow hubsters,
DRxBMW from Williamsport,Pennsylvania, USA here.

Close friend fabricated aluminum panniers for my recently aquired 2005 BMW F 650 GS. Hingeless lid design, work wunderbar.

I added luggage strap handles similar to the Zega Bags that Touratech sells.

In search of the bumper corner guards that Zega uses.

I did find some corner protection for musical gear that may work OK.

Suggestions ? Take it metal is a better choice than plastic. dunno know what the actual material is for the Zega ?

Can anyone inform me ? Appear to be rubberized, maybe NOT ?

Thanks _________.

Rubber-ish plastic bumpers for corners and edges is available for toddler-proofing table edges, raised hearths, etc. Try Lowe's or similar places in the section of the store with all the safety latches and related stuff.

Don't know about metal corners, but old fashioned hardware stores used to carry metal luggage corners for camp trunks. Must still be out there somewhere; have you tried Google?

Edit to add: ok, I'll make it easy: Google terms are "luggage corners," although probably anything similar would work.
