Metzeler Enduro 3 vs TKC80
 

Can someone compare Metzeler Enduro 3 tyre with Conti TKC80 and Michelin T63. Tnx.

Can't really compare as I haven't tried the metzeler, but for all round overlanding I rate my TKC80s very highly, pretty well mannered on the motorway at speed, alright in the bends on tarmac (obviously not as good as a road tyre but...) and I managed to squeeze about 11,000 kms out of the rear and 20,000 kms out of the front. Admittedly it did feel like riding on cobbles by the time I changed them over.

To make things brief the Metzs are the best in Heat (Africa South America)but are very soft so will wear out before the Contis will, But are a Much better off road tire.

The Contis are more stable for Motorway use, and are better for off roading in cooler climates, due to being a harder compound.

But I run two types of tire, on road I use Tourances and off I run the Enduros for off, you really are not doing yourself any favors by driving at 90+ with any hybred tire (road/off), so change your tires when needed.

Other people will have other views but mine work well for me.

Tnx for the answer. I used Conti TKC80 and Michelin T63 on my bike so I know enough about that tires but now I got a new pair of Metzeler Enduro 3 and I would like to know in advance what I can expect.

:thumbup1: Ah ok that puts a differnet view on it, thought you were trying to choose between them both, where are you going to be using them?

Just remember that they are a softer tire and if you go off road to mind the really big rocks and watch the side walls (I have them about 2lb harder then the contis), once they are warmed up they are really great and grippy in the wet. If your going at high speed for a long time on road then you might want to have them harder then the Contis. I just got on with them better that way, but again you will have to find the balance that you want with the load you are carrying.
