Jesse Luggage

I was looking for the actual weight of the 10" panniers and 45l back box with the mountings.
Trying to decide if it's a viable option for me since I'm a big guy already and weight is at the forethought of my planning.
Im not after a full on discussion about hard Vs soft. I will choose what I feel is best for my plans and situation.

Cheers and stay upright

I found my Jesse's weighed from 1.5 to 2 pounds per bag more than the competition. Which wasn't much with the strength you gain. In China many years ago I was T-boned hard in the saddlebag. Yes minor damage but straightened out at a local shop.

And how much do the competition boxes weigh?

I've previously been a soft case user as I couldn't find a nice enough set that fitted my previous bike. This was many years ago though. Also the cost was a bit of a put off for what I needed them for at the time.

Weights are listed on the Jesse Luggage website - pick your bike ... https://www.jesseluggage.com/

45l top box - 7.9#

You didn't say what bike you ride - but for a 2019 BMW 1250 GS

10.8# - pipe side 10" - 42L
11.2# - full side 10" - 51L

Best ...

Sorry didn't follow this. My 10# Jesse is in agreement with Outwestrider. Touratech is 8.5#. 12# for GSA bag.

Thank you, might be my older tablet being not optimized for his website but those weights aren't shown on the page correctly. Hence why I was asking.

I haven't bought a new bike yet, have been looking at most of the adventure range, think the AT adventure sport dct is my preferred choice, dependent on taking a test ride and ensuring I can get my leg over.

I would mention that my weights are from a fairly accurate scale, but the bags are older versions and there have been many changes, especially in bracketing. Tons of strength and very narrow, all positive. Good luck in your decision making.
