"Quick, get me a Macbook, stat!"

Sorry!

Its a good idea, especially if theres room for scanned docs, but it would be a cold metal plate for me everytime. Enough space for vital info such as blood type and allergies.

they are a fair idea, but a lot of cash for a tiny amount of memory.
i bought a 4GB micro flash drive for £7.99 from 7dayshop.com

and also only any good if your ambulance driver or bush doctor happens to have a handy computer and look round your neck and find your flash drive and realise what it is before you go into a coma from your hypo.

ive got a dark imagination, sorry. i use mine to store scans of all my docs, V5, Euro med card, passport, ins, etc, even confirmation emails from ferries and that, so there can be no arguments.

A solution chasing a need that doesn't exist.

If worst came to worst, would the medic trying to help you out recognise it for what it is, if you weren't in a fit state to tell him/her?

A press metal plate is a lot more obvious, if less flashy (excuse the pun)...

It's the 21st Century, but really you need to make your own decision on this. Its a personal choice, I carry a load of medication so its handy if I have slipped into a coma. I use the tags plus I have a small tube with a paper copy just in case.

Thanks guys, got the sort of answer I thought I would.
As a ex serviceman I still have y DG's wwith Name Number & Religon Blood group & allegeys.

It was the fact you put in the emergency info in your own language & it put them in to a number of the international languages i.e. Spanish & Chinese as well. & there is room to store some documents.

I think I would just buy a cheap USB put all the scanned Documents on it & word Documents about me
& just ge some DG Stamped up with Name Contact DOB Blood Group, Emergency Nok Telephone number any allageys. should do stick it around my neck with usb.

Identity theft invitation around your neck... now I know what to look for. :D

I was in fact quite excited by the idea, and then thinking... Africa.. a serious medical health situation... usb... yeah right!
