Yes - light weigh stuff usually means less rohbust (pun).

Look at a racing bike compared to a RTW tourer! One neeed maintance after a day out, the other ....

Having said that .. if you are carefull with the light weight gear it can last very well. But you do need to pay attention and spend a bit more time on it.

Just ordered the Mega Light
 
I am no world traveler but I do like to camp off my motorcycle and even though I have a lot of space I can appreciate a light weight tent that packs small with lots of space. I will do a review when I use it in early November.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the Exped tent when you get it.
