For many years I have had a problem with the standard stock mirrors for '96 mod R80 GS and an '84 Yamaha XT 250. They loosen at the slightest provocation, esp right hand side. Also, they are formed to show the road behind you, of course, but not the vehicle just level with your back wheel. Several times I have looked backwards before a lane change out of habit and jumped when I saw a car so close that I was not aware of.

Both these problems are solved with these mirrors, Adventure model is "coffin shaped" and covers my previous blind spot. They are RAM mount, with a hand screw adjustment, and they are steady and no vibration, well, almost on the XT

They are relatively expensive, with postage and Norwegian taxes, but really worth the money, should have done this years ago.

End of season here, get the bike off the road before the road people start spraying salt, which just eats bikes.

I always do a "lifesaver" look over my right shoulder (if in Europe then it is a look over my left shoulder) - better than any mirror. I got into the habit years ago and do it whist driving too.
