BMW GS windscreen - secdem

I have an '89 R100 GS with the small fairing, i thought a little more wind protection might be in order. Looking around, i thought that the Secdem GS-Rangers screen might be good considering it was made specifically for this bike.
well... i'm not too happy about it. the mounting system is pretty good, it attaches to the handlebars and the mini-fairing. the big problem is its height - it funnels the air right at ones eyes! I added Saing-Ta winglets to the top and it gets the turbulence out of my eyes, but now there's a big plate in front of my forward vision. i may take the thing off entirely.

try www.pac-safe.com, they make steel mesh bags for backpacks to fit in that lock to anything. they're small and fit into their own little sack when not in use.

My '91 GS-PD with the later fairing came with an extension bolted onto the top of the existing stock windshield. Its 27 cms from top to bottom, held on with 5 small bolts, the top being flipped up to deflect the wind. Works fine-you could make it.
