Which bag do you use for your EEE PC?
Hi folks,
Which bag do you have for your EEE PC. I am looking for a protective / small one. Cheers, Frank |
I bought a bag for my EEE here in Australia.
It is a Caterpillar bag (yes the CAT that makes the big machinery) very similar to the one in here: Caterpillar Explorer Utility Bag - Black/Yellow - Rushfaster Australia http://rushfaster.com.au/site/image/...-BLK-YEL_1.JPG It doesn't have that clip at the bottom but velcro in the inner side of the flap. I bought it at a shop called Victoria Station in Warringah Mall. $30. It features: # 1 x main compartment with internal pocket # Secondary main compartment # Tertiary compartment with attachable keyring # Accessories pocket and pen pockets under main flap # Removeable and adjustable shoulder strap # Padded flap and a bit around the main compartment. It was a hard decision between the black/yellow and the black/grey but I ended up with the later. I carry a lot of stuff in my motorcycle and the yellow would have looked dirty in no time. The model number for mine is CAT123 opposed to the CAT122 on the link I supplied. I can fit the EEE, the adapter, wallet, mobile, keys, portable HDD, etc but I will try not to have all those things in it at the same time just it case. :P Will |
I fit mine inside a Peli 1200 case and then fit it into any rucksack or my top box. There is room for a few other things on top of the PC but it's a perfect fit. Water and dust proof.

Stupid question, which one fits your x31 ?? BYT |
i got the medium, but the small might have been ok. cant remember the size of an x31 off hand
but just looked and they are X31 Width: 273 mm (10.7 in) Depth: 223 mm (8.8 in) Height: 24.9 mm (0.98 in) so the medium would be fine and the small too small |
i bought a case for a portable dvd player at radioshack. not waterproof though, but cheap and good fit.
cheers, sander |
Elecom do a range called Zeroshock. They have a special gel in them that absorbs a lot of vibrations and an edge around the outside in case they are dropped. Worked fine for my trip in metal panniers on a single cylinder bike.
See photo here: Fujitsu U810 case option: Elecom ZeroShock III I got mine in PC world 18 months ago. Charles p.s. make sure you take a cable lock so that you can lock it up whilst it's on charge in your room. |
I used the standart one that come with it. If it looked like rain I wrapped it in a plastic bag....
I beat it over 25k kilometers of dirt roads, corrugations and so on and it still worked fine. KIS (Keep It Simple) |
