I don't think they have a distributor in Europe, however rotopax.com ships internationally. Do a web search for various online discount coupons (usually 10%).

Rotopax also sells through eBay US (see rykerjas items - Get great deals on Fuel Pack, Gas Container items on eBay Stores!)

Any reviews from Rotopax users?

Was wondering, does anyone here have experience using the Rotopax fuel/water/etc. containers? Looking particularly for folks that have attached then to aluminum panniers (Touratech/Jesse/etc.). Thanks!

Winding Roads now supply Rotopax in the UK.

I ve been using them on soft panniers (from wolfmann) and they work exellent.

I've just fitted a pair of 1 (US) gallon Rotopax to the back of my Gobi panniers, they look the business! Dont bother with the L shaped brackets, they weigh a ton and are not required, just bolt the round handle mechanism straight through the panniers.

What about using a fuel bladder?

I thought about fuel bladders, but reckon they are a pain to mount, I just hate bungee cords! We set off at the end of summer from Qatar to the UK, so the real verdict will have to wait until the end of the trip to see what fell off, if 2 gallons was enough or too much, how soon the nice shiny red tanks got knicked etc.

Rotopax quality is incredible and the different system they are selling to secure the Jerrycan make installation on a bike very easy. I have a 2 gallons gas tank and 1 gallon water tank.
I have never used Kolpin but I have red many reviews where quality was questionned (leaking problems).

I've been using one of these...

Ocean Slim Tank - Fuel, Fuel Tanks | Mailspeed Marine

I've got it strapped behind one of my panniers. The big upside to carrying an extra gallon is you're happy to run onto reserve and run to the next petrol station knowing that you can run dry and not be stranded. Often I found petrol before I had to use the can.

I use the rotopax before and I like the fact that they can be carry flat , can do the same with the ocean slim . qould be good to know.

Just received my 3 gallon rotopax and I have to say the quality is fantastic. The dimensions are great as it fits perfectly on the back rack of my 800gs.

What rear rack do you have the rotopax attached to?

The rack

Hi Daryll

The rack is from Moto Overland. Killer rack, highly recommended and they are local which is alway cool.

PS thanks for the great posts from your ride. We have been enjoying it big time.

Thanks. The 800GS will be the next bike I get once we settle into the work thing again. The ride unfortunately had to end a tad early due to the politics in N.Africa, which only means we have to go back another time.
