MT21 vs MCE Karoo

Hi ;

I am currently using MCE Karoo. I use it cause it was the best puncture resistant tire according to my information ( Michelin dessert doesnt fit my rims ). But here most of the people seems to prefer Pirelli MT 21. Is it better than MCE Karoo for punctures or is it cheaper or just pure coincidence ?

And one more question : How is Metz. Sahara comparing to the ones mentioned ( puncture wise )?

Thanks ,

The Karoo gives *very* good traction off road (on an XT600 3AJ) but wears very quickly on asphalt (my front lasted about 4500 miles, 50/50 road/offroad). Is also poorly balanced and vibey. I was disappointed - mine also cut quite badly on shale and flint, and big chunks went missing!

Have never used MT21. Sorry! My TKC80 Twinduros are very good on road and also give great`traction in moderate (dry) off-road, although for extreme riding the Karoo would be better. In 1000 miles (70% road) the Twinduros are only very slightly worn.
