Hi All,
I've just posted this in the thread for the HUBB UK 2104 but I thought I'd pop it in here too.

Just a thought - this is probably just the right time to give your mates a nudge. Right time? There's now just a month left for people to snag the amazing value £45 4-day event pass before the price bumps up as usual.

If you have mates who always say 'I keep meaning to get to that.' you might like to get them to take a squint at the HUBB UK 2014 page.

And of course, don't you miss out either eh doh

If you have a look at the pages for 2014 you'll see that things are just beginning to fill up, and all the layout changes which are helping us all to make the 4 days even better. One of the changes you'll see is that Danny and Fil and the Fire Drums (bigger and better for 2014) are going to be on a new pitch with their Roadkill Cookout. Delighted to have the guys with us again!

A taste of things to come. Sorry.... corny... :innocent:

Fancy presenting? Please sign up - share your experience or quite simply, the fun of the road.

Member of an overlanding type Club or Forum? Please get them to sign up - you'll see the link.

Want to see a particular company who stocks overlanding kit exhibiting? Please show them the 2014 page. We'd be delighted to hear from them.

And of course I'll never say no to help with getting things done at the event. :thumbup1: Its all the people who muck in for a few hours that make some much of the amazing atmosphere at the HUBB UK happen.

Why does the price have to bump up over time? It put me off from going last year and will probably do so again next year. I can't plan months in advance where I will be on a particular weekend, some people now lead complicated lives across multiple work places and countries....

The most interesting travellers don't book anything in advance!! :taz:

Sam was obviously being lighthearted and conversational with the wording of his last post, but if it needs clarifying.... the price doesn't increase - the discount reduces. It's an important and genuine distinction.

We appreciate that not everyone is able (or willing) to plan/commit so far in advance, but the majority can to some degree. The discounts are therefore a benefit to most people. We've also kept the prices/discounts the same for the third year in a row (except with the addition of 2-day passes for 2014).

For folk who prefer not to register in advance with a discount, the on-arrival price for a full 4-day pass is £75 or £45 for a 2-day pass. It's worth bearing in mind though that registering and paying before the end of August for a full 4-day pass costs the same as a 2-day pass purchased at the event itself.

Of course if you have a story of adventure to tell, or some sort of practical workshop/demo to give, you can register as a presenter for free (if you can be sure you'll be able to make it).

Thought I ought to mention that its just 21 days to go until the HUBB UK! And don't forget, if you book and pay before 9pm on June 12th then you nab the last discounted passes. (Thanks to Iain for clarifying my lousy wording last time! You'd think an author would know better! :rolleyes2:)

Your pass gets you access to the live music on Friday and Saturday nights, the really funny and informative Roadkill Cookout, all the presentations (0ver 120 sessions of them!!!), learn how to live from the hedgerows, link up with travel authors and film makers, meet Ted Simon, explore the 25+ exhibitors stands packed with everything travel, enter the competitions and well get stuck into everything that's happening. Did anyone mention real ale?

4 days in an amazing atmosphere - an oasis of travel.

The HUBB UK INFO is all here on this link.
