Zeeltronic PCDI-XT CDI module

Just to set the record straight as there has been a disgruntled person making false accusations. I just want to clear the air. I welcome any questions, either PM or right here for all to see.

I am not promoting the Zeeltronic for any compensation. I paid for my unit. I had explained this early on and only want to recommend what I feel is a very good, modern unit. Yes, the Hyperpak is a good unit too. I bought 2 of them at the same time and only used one of them. When the Zeel was ready to test, I swapped it out. I made comparison tests later on and reported here as well. Others have found the SAME conclusion I discovered. The Zeel seems to have a bit more umph on the low end. I even mentioned it could be wishful thinking. What I do know is that without a doubt they are both good units. Zeel has a very good track record and is well known in the two stroke community across many brands. This was his first excursion into a 4 stroke bike. I feel he did a very good job and will be building a model for the newer TCI fired XT's because of many requests. I know my promotion has helped him sell units. I see this as a service to the community. I received NO commissions and am NOT connected in any way with Zeeltronic or Borut. We have become friends during our association. Getting products made for these older bikes is a plus for all. With the age of the bikes, CDI's are dying left and right.

If i buy this from you how much % can you offer?

steveloomis 15 Jan 2014 16:02

Well you can buy one for the same price I pay and send me 50 bucks. That sounds as fair as what you are insinuating.

If I didn't promote it, how would anyone know that a good product was out there. I asked for it to be built or rather if he had one that would work. Borut did the rest on his own. On the RZ350 forums, his products are talked about all the time.

It is like the guy who makes stainless steel foot pegs and other XT items, someone started complaining. I don't see him posting any more. I for one liked what I saw and bought a set and said so. Does that make me his brother in law too....

Lots of cottage industries out there, lets promote this, otherwise, we'll be left holding an empty bag and no where to get life sustaining repairs. I for one do not expect to purchase a new bike, the OEM's are not interested in us maintaining these old bikes, my old XT is in great shape and will run longer than I will I expect.

This is an open forum, if you don't like what I write, skip over it. :rolleyes2:

Hehe i dont see any problem with this and dont understand who is complaining on you giving everyone info about good products, keep up the good work in here:thumbup1:

Steve, I don‘t think you need to explain anything. Anyone that has read your posts understands how things are. I really would not bother.

Thanks for the valuable info, both here and on adv. It is knowledgeable guys like yourself that make the forums what they are.

As I look back, I appreciate the kinds words, at least most of you "get it". Thank you.

Well it seems someone on another forum was out of sorts and took it out on me. I have seen this person on here as well and is why I made the statement.

I take personal offense when I am falsely accused. If I have offended any one here I apologize. I only want to be of assistance and recommend what I believe in.

This is a community of like minded enthusiasts and i am and can be very enthusiastic, probably to a fault. Please take my advice if you wish, I don't claim to 'know it all'. Being an electronics tech by trade, I do know a thing or two about things "electric or electronic".

I feel it is payback to give back when I have received so much good assistance myself on here an many other forums. We all benefit from the collective knowledge and experience. We can all spot a "newbe" right away, I was one too and got the help I needed by some very kind persons. It is our duty as good members of these communities to assist and be kind to those seeking our help. I have a very good relationship on another forum that has been built up by his very helpful and sound advice. We converse on the phone as well.

Nuff said.

Hey, great about helping Radan. He is a great guy.

Zergman 17 Jan 2014 09:45

Steve, your opinion and experience with it is highly appreciated. By, at least, most of us. I would really like to try this Zeel unit, but due to financial "dryness" I can't. Yet.

+1 on Radan, great guy, great footpegs!

Thank you for your kind words. Unless you really need to swap out a CDi, I don't think the power gain only reason is worth the price of admission. It is a nice bonus though. I plan to run my second Hyperpak on my 84 as it will see limited use and just not worth the expense... My butt dyno would like to have it but my Butt finances say no.... Besides, I just bought one for my other RZ350. Power gain using the power valve tuning is well worth it...
