Yamaha XT600E oil pump problem?

Hi, i have an XT600e 2002 and have been having some problems with oil getting into the oil filter. Then a few days ago a rubber bung located under the starter motor popped off and oil pissed out everywhere.
i now beleive a faulty oil pump may be causing increased crankcase pressure.
Am i correct in blaming the oil pump? Where is the best place to get a replacement other than my local yamaha dealer?

A faulty oil pump usually means less pressure, not more. Excess crankcase pressure is usually caused by poor piston sealing, or a blocked breather.
