3TB is TCI not CDI.

if you dont know the difference, read here, very different ignitions

https://transmic.net/2016/07/02/faq/

so those Carmo guys are already bullshitting a bit, it is not actually a CDI...

but at that kind of money (300!) I would talk first with ignitech.cz, i have good experience with them for half the money.

like i wrote in your other post

3TB is TCi
1VJ is CDI

they are incompatible

whoever wrote that it performs better does not know what he is talking about or just BSing

Like Guzzi said, a 1VJ uses CDI (Capacitor Discharge Ignition) the picture is a CDI with wires hanging out of it.

The TCI you are referring to (Transistor Controlled Igniter) has the sockets & is a totally different system.

Mezo.

Yes I have used this Carmo unit in my 3TB as I was testing the unit for someone else who was having ignition problems that werent related. I suspect they call it a CDI as most people call them that and dont know the difference. There is a definite improvement in performance. Throttle response was better and bike definitely went harder in all RPM's. Suspect this is due to more aggressive timing curve that has been loaded into it. Possibly better spark also? Made the bike seem lazy when I put the stock TCI back in. Would definately recommend.
