XTZ660 Tenere (91-98)
 

Hi,
I used to have an XT600 Tenere 1VJ and it was a beauty but nothing is forever.After some time away however the bug has bitten again and I am thinking of returning to a big trailee. I am considering an XTZ660 not the current offering. I was wondering if there was anyone out there running one or who has run one who might be able to give me the inside track on what these bikes are like: range, fuel economy, reliability, off road?

check out the 08 tenere.
 

after the 3aj(88-89) the tenere lost 35mm suspension travel.its just an adventure 'looking' bike

i would go fer the 08 tenere FI.
2008 Yamaha XT660Z Tenere
but since i weigh only 62 kgs.
am contemplating the wr250r.
best service intervals-valves check at40k kms etc.would customise it to adventure travel. ther are 25lts tanks available from yamaha.need a little frame/throwover panniers and hey bobs u r uncle
.personaly i think dr/klr etc are kinda outdated.but not many choices around.
nyway whatever u decide have fun.
