I think this might be a general bike price thing. Either that or early Bandits are picking up too. I have been keeping a good eye on those over the years and Mk1s for £2,500 weren't around a couple of years ago (even in the summer). This now seems the going price for an unmolested one.

The only bike I have owned that I still regret selling, a 2000 reg 1200 unfaired in black.

Luckily I still have this XT as I know that it would be the second regret if I ever sold it. (It has a remarkably similar "soul" to the Bandit actually).

The Yamaha XT600E used to be very easy to find in the UK but it's getting harder and harder to find a good'n.

I don't know, I seem to have seen a fair few lately, there is a minter on Autotrader at the mo for 2400, but it only has 1k miles on it and is as new, good price for a bike that will last as long you ever need it to

That's the beauty of the XT600, Ive had mine only a few months and have had many bikes including Transalps, XT660R, 660 Tenere old and new and the 600 is pretty much as good as all of them all rolled into one bike. My last bike before the 600 was a new Tenere and your right it doesn't do anything better, mind it does look nice! I just needed the funds so I sold it, bought my 600 and paid a whole load of stuff off.... the result was I was left with a bike with more character than any of my other bikes, especially the dull Honda's.
I rekon its one of the most underated bikes out there

Just an idea I thought I'd fire past you all -

What about asking Grant for another sticky page where we can all post links to XT's being sold worldwide?

Providing we stick to PRIVATE buy's (non retail) I can't see Grant having a problem.

I often come across people looking for XT6's in Europe and elsewhere.

One page of bikes for sale might come in handy. I'm always looking at Ebay and Gumtree and it wouldn't be difficult to put the links on the thread?

We could include all bikes including those being broken for spare parts etc....

At the moment it's often very difficult to source spare parts of older XT's.

Do you have a post here where you post pictures of your bike? It would be fun to see all the different XTs you all are riding and talking about.
