xt660 igniton switch removal help
 

Hi all,

Well the ignition is jammed and a new one is ordered so i need to get the old one off.

How the :censored: do you get them there thingies out!

ive got good acces to the front so could try and get them out in situe as all the fairing is off as im fixing everything!!!

so whats the go chaps! help would be amazing.....cant wait to start the bike without fiddling with the key for ten mins!!

i take it you mean the old shear bolts, the best way is take the top yoke off and drill em out on a drill press. :eek3:
you only need to drill the heads off so you have enough of the stud left to remove with pliers :thumbup1:

brute for won out.....smashed the buggers round in the end....just cant find a pattern replacement though. stock says 4 wires on 1 connector. mine has 2 connectors. 1 with 1 red and 1 brown and the other has 4 blue wires..

any clues were to get one??
