XT600E Spare Power?

I was just wondering how much spare wattage the XT produces. I'm pretty sure you can't run dual 65 watt high-output driving lights off of it, but how much is there to play with?

I run a HID xenon 35w unit on the bike, so i get improved lighting and can run other accessories. The HID bulb also lasts about 10x longer than halogen.

Has anyone used those H4 501 selling on ebay on their XT600E?

Can't really remember the numbers but I ran a single higher power lamp (100W probably) on my XT.

On a more useful note, replace the tail/stop light with an LED set up while you are at it. That's another 15W to play with straight off, plus they should never fail.

I couldn't agree more on LED lights - not for power saving but for durability, they just seem to last for ever!!!

I have a LED rear/brake light and a LED side light fitted to my ageing XT600 Tenere.

agree about the led taillight, normal bulbs kept vibrating to death on my new rear end but the led bulb has been in there for years, no probs.

I ran an LED brake light bulb in the r/h side of the Tenere taillight -for testing- and ended up taking it out.
This LED didn't make use of the reflector,so it just fired straight back and ended up looking dull compared to the normal bulb in the other side.

led rear light

One of the best things I ever invested in the bike is a rear led-light:thumbup1:
It works great.
As for front light I use a duble thing that I bought from Kedo H7 55w and H4 60W havenĀ“t had any problems with that eighter.
