I sprayed 5-56 everywhere and when i then put a new 30A fuse there was smoke coming out from the tail light area!

I noticed that the blown fuse in the bike was an 30A fuse, and as far as i can tell now afterwards from the manual, it is supposed to be a 20A fuse?

I'm just hopping i didn't fry any important cables.

If you got smoke it means the wire is melted. You'll need to take the rear fender off and take apart the inner guard ,that's where the taillight harness runs. You'll need to get a new harness up to the taillight itself, maybe it also. It is a separate harness than the main one , hopefully that one didn't get fried. Don't ever use a bigger fuse like the previous owner did, it melts things and that's how fires start. At least you should be able to tell where the issue is now. The taillight harness gets beat up pretty bad so it is a common problem.
