XT600E 3TB 1990 suspensions

Hello,

I have a xt600e from 1990 and would like to improve suspension. Since I am 198cm I would like to raise the saddle height.

I was looking at Wilbers 640 rear shock, you can raise it +25mm and then another +15mm. So +40mm in total, which sound great.
I would pair this with Wilbers progressive springs in the front.

We mostly ride offroad and this is my travel bike. Are there problems with riding behavior if you raise the back so much? People who have done similar thing?

Thanks!
Anton

nah just go with the adjustable rear suspension from the early 90s of the xt 660 . it a direct fit and all you got to do is find a place to mount the oil reservoir (the adjustments are made from there easily it has a knob on it) and you can easily mount it with hose clamp or something .

How much raise do you think I will get? Price is very interesting of course.

yeah that's it. you won't get a raise at all. it's same dims with the oem. just better under load and adjustable. plus you won't feel a thing on the road when you hit a paddle.
