just fitted my rebuilt 3aj engine. started first time which was great but then I noticed oil pissing out of the gearbox output shaft oil seal. the seal is a genuine part from a good supplier i think its the right size. what am i doing wrong guys. Any help would be gratefully apreciated.:confused1:

The genuine Yamaha puller is expensive, I think Kedo do a puller but not sure what its like.
The rotor can be very difficult to get of and if you dont have a good puller you risk damaging the threads on the crank.
I would try and find a garage that has the genuine puller or some thing simillar and pay them to remove the rotor.
There has been several threads in the past about how difficult the rotor can be to remove.

Or you can stick a 2p piece in the gears. Worked for me (twice). The 2p gets mashed, but its cheap compared to the tool!

Puller
 
Yes, KEDO has one, it's good.
Put tension on the central bolt (BTW, leave the nut on yto protect the thread on the crank). Then heat the center of the flywheel. If it does not come loose, hit the center bolt of the puller with a hammer ... HARD.

The trick with the penny is for blocking the shafts when removing a nut. Better to use a thick copper ring, nt to damage the gears.
