XT600 cylinder interchangeable?
 

I’m looking to change the cylinder on my 1986 XT600, Are they all the same cylinder? Between 84-89? Is the E model the same cylinder? In other words would I be able to use another year cylinder on my 86’?

hi, just remember how my cylinder (2002 E dj02) looks - quite similar to the schemes from 1995 service manual.
with similarity i mean bore, oil channel, mating surfaces.
BUT there might be some difference in mountings - probably for valve cover.
maybe it's still doable, hopefully one with the better knowledge will tell.
