XT600 bits clearout

As I've sold my bike I have a heap of bits I no longer need.
If you have any bits you need or want let me know.

I have a decent Black seat, grubby petrol tank, tubular sump guard, wheels and forks to mention just a little.

PM me with your wish list.
Everything must go!!!

Tenere Tom 26 Aug 2009 15:28

Lots of views but not alot of replies.

It will all go on Ebay if no-one here wants it.

foggie 26 Aug 2009 15:37

Tom,

Might be worth listing all the big bit's you have for sale.

I'm looking for a front hub (not the wheel) for my 55W

Cheers

Gary

I have a 34L / 43F front wheel if you want it.
It might be worth me making the wheels I have into 17" Supermotos and selling them to a tarmac terrorist!!!

Hmmmmnn.... things I'm after if you've got em are

square clocks (isn't everybody??) - even knackered ones will do as i think i can fix em and need ones to experiment on mwahahahahahaha

An early swinging arm - I believe that the 34L/55Ws had an ally swinging arm and i'm wondering if one'd go into a 1vj

Hello Tom,

What model/year is the seat and tank? Could you give a better assessment of the condition of the tank.

Thanks,

Pawlie

Bike was a 1984.
Seat has now gone. The tank is sound but has a few minor dents and would benefit from a tidy up and re-spray.

Shipping to you could be costly - can't you get one locally???

Pawlie 29 Aug 2009 04:49

Hi Tom,

Any chance of some pics of the tank? I could PM you my email address as needed.

Is it the 30L capacity one with the baffles inside?

Tenere was never sold in N. Am. so no tanks here.

Pawlie

I should have brake master cylinder knocking about. Kicker is long gone!

peachface 29 Aug 2009 23:49

side panels and bash plate?:thumbup1:

Tenere Tom 30 Aug 2009 16:46

I have the tubular type bash plate (looks good on bike) £30 posted
and a pair of tatty black side panels (they are the same style as the bike on the Clymer manual - not Tenere) add a tenner for them.

PM me if you are intrested

Pawlie 4 Sep 2009 18:13

Hello Tom,

It looks like your tank is the 10L one. I already have one of thoes so no need to ship from uk. If you happen to have an early generation Tenere tank in good condition let me know.

Thanks,

Pawlie

XT600 2KF model parts needed

Hi, do you have a kickstart and an airbox for my 1987 2KF model?
Cheers,
Ian.

Tenere Tom 11 Sep 2009 19:05

Sorry, I can't help you.

Tom,

I would be interested in the 17" SuperMoto wheels if you do build them

I only have the rear now.
It would have to be re-rimmed as there are a few tiny cracks appearing where the spokes go into the rim.

Check yours now - This is not a one off!!!:(

foggie 12 Sep 2009 11:41

I'm having to rebuild mine because of cracks around the spoke eye's.
Hopefully getting the hubs back from the powder coater's on Monday so will be building a set with gold Excel rims & S/S spokes.

As Tom say's - check your rims, the cracks are very small and radiate out from the spoke eye's

xtfrog 28 Oct 2009 09:40

Seat + rack, again

If anyone wants Tom's 34L seat & rack, they are re-available from me! Nothing wrong with them ... they just don't fit my bike :(

Mostly my bike is a 34L, but apparently not as regards the seat and rack (I bought it in South Africa, and it has a 39E- frame number).
