Xt600 Air Filter
 

Hey all! I have a Twin Air air filter for a Yamaha XT600, it says Tenere Z 1984/1986. If this fits your bike you can have it. I ordered an air filter for my 1990 XT600 and they sent me this which won't fit mine.

The picture is exactly what it looks like. I'll ship it for free because I have no use for it and couldn't sell it on EBay. Thanks guys! :)

If you are in the USA, I'd take it.

Well, I aided little on that.. My 1990 XT600E I brought her in the US and brought it here :D

Yeah. I'm from central Ohio area. My xt600e has nearly 14k miles now. Looking forward to taking some trips soon.:cool4:

Wow that filter looks nothing like the filter they put into the XT600E! Both mine have Pippercross foam replacements. I have heard that Pipercross filters don't always fit properly but mine surely do.

Am I right in understanding the Yamaha XT600 was never imported into the USA? Pity. :(

I was told that the Kawasaki KLR650 and Honda XR650 became the XT600 you never got? :smartass:

Kentfallen.. XT600E was sold until 1995 in the US before they changed to the 4PT!
My 1990 XT600E was imported from the US to the Azores ;)

They changed the airbox/airfilter.

Hello folks

I know I'm digging up an old thread, and apologize for this. :oops2:

I am looking for a twin air filter for a 3TB/DJ02 XT600 like the one Jens has (had?)

I have looked everywhere on the internet, I think, but could not find one anywhere. All I could find was the replacement foam, which has reference 794150, but not the complete filter with the alu box.

Does anyone remember where those could be purchased, or would have one available somewhere?

Out of curiosity, what filter are you using? I think you do a lot of offroading, so your feedback is of interest to me.

I sumoed my xt600 and use it mainly for the street and light dirt, and swapped to a KN.

I got a chance to discuss with a friendly danish guy ;)

After going through his old papers, Jens found the reference for this filter. It is not a traditional "air filter" but a "twin air powerflow kit"

The Twin Air reference is 152607C or 152 607C

So they can still be found on the net, but it's a bit pricey. Plan an hundred euros at least, plus shipping
