xt oil change
 

I have just chainged the oil and filter on my yamaha 2002 xt600e, i dont have a manual or h book, drained 3.4 lt out! so filled up about 2.8 - 3lt run engine took for a good ride shows just above full when hot. is this normal? when engine cold level drops right down to bottom of stick normal?
the bikes only covered 5000 miles theres a slight metallic rattle at 3000 revs especialy on start .pulls a healthy 95 ....on the flat......so should be ok!up. have i mucked up oil change?! :oops2:

If you do a search for the manual, you'll find one of those too!!

Only check the oil when engine has been running for 5 mins and dont screw the dipstick in.
