Wanted, useable tank for a 1990 XT600E

I am looking for a tank that "holds gas" for a 1990 XT600E. The tank I have has had considerable rust damage to the tank from the inside. The tank appears to be very thin and when scuffed up even from the outside with any amount of force tiny pin holes develop. I am not sure if any of the products claiming to repair motorcycle tanks would be worth the investment. Does anyone know of a tank or if those repairs actually work?

I have read other threads that indicated different tanks for different types of frames or mounts. I will try to include a couple of pictures I took of the tank with my cell phone as I am not exactly sure what the type of tank it is I am looking for.

will this tank work?

I am answering my own blog with another question. I have checked with a company called "just gas tanks". They have a gas tank made by "Clarke"for an XT600. From the looks of the picture it looks like it is made more for the "XT" or dirt bike version rather than the XT600E which is an enduro. The reason I say this is because the tank does not appear to have the grooves along each side of the tank for the grey colored air scoops that attach after the tank is installed. At this point I am less concerned about the air scoops than I am about whether the tank will mount properly to the frame and fit along with the seat. I am trying to avoid having to pay for shipping for a part that may not fit and then have to ship it back. I have contacted the company and they were not a lot of help. Does anyone know if the aftermarket tank made by Clarke on "justgastanks.com" will mount on a 1990 XT600E?

the aftermarket tank is a higher capacity and is plastic so it wont accept the old air scoops but it will fit ok.
accerbis used to make one exactly the same.
