I have just aquired a low milage 1985/86 Yamaha XT600 Tenere with no problems to mention. However I find it wanders at speed (over 35mph) and is very easily nugged off line on the road. It has trail tyres and I have the pressures at 18psi front and back. I am missing something or is this the way Xts are?

Try increasing the tire pressures, 18psi sounds very soft for road use. I'd go somewhere between 25 -30. This should help alot!

Changed to Mich. Serac tyres. No wandering and feels secure

18 PSI is a flat tire
