Virago 535 swing arm bearings
Hi
In the middle of restoring a 1993 Yamaha Virago 535. Anyone know the cheapest place to buy swing arm bearings? Ive tried wemotos and its coming in at around £34 delivered Cheers Geordie |
You might take them off the swingarm, and take them to a regular bearing shop to be matched up. They will be cheaper! I am not familiar with virago partsh though so YMMMV.

Thanks but the local bike garage destroyed the bearings (getting frame preped for blasting and powder coated).. so I dont have the original ones

You might be able to measure the inner diameter of the swingarm, the outer diamter of the swingarm bar, and how wide the space is that you have and come up with one.
There is also a Virago Tech forum that might be able to help. |

Internal of the swingarm, swingarm pivot bolt (or what goes inside the swingarm bearing) and the depth of the swingarm bearing hole. The three measurements will give a size to match a bearing code so you can order them from a bearing supplier. I have brought from these guys before BikeBearings Such as this: 17x24x30 = BHKM1730JU Good luck. |
Guys
because I was unsure of the sizes and didnt trust myself to measure properly I bit the bullet and bought from Wemoto Thanks for all the replies Cheers Geordie |
